Getting Started

Getting started with XenoWorldReset.

This wiki contains all additional information needed to setup XenoWorldReset.

Wiki

Currently, the important details of the XenoWorldReset wiki are being written. For the time being, all setup can be performed using the in game GUI /xwr menu, via commands, or using the configuration files (recommended).

Once completed, the wiki will cover the majority of features presented in this plugin.

World setups

World setups are contained within the worlds.yml file. Each setup ‘binds’ to a specific world. There are two types of setups: ‘TP world’ and ‘reset world’. A reset world is also considered a tp world.

  • TP world: A TP/RTP setup is one that is not intended to be reset. It is only used to TP/RTP into. A setup like this allows the default world, which cannot be reset, to still have random teleport functionality.

It can also be used for teleporting away from a resetting world (use option AUTO on other setup). If a player doesn’t have the corresponding permission, then they will not be able to use the command to teleport to this world.

  • Reset world: A resetting world allows a world to be reset manually or at a given interval with a wide array of configuration options. This setup also comes with TP/RTP settings, which can optionally be disabled.

This type of setup is most likely why you bought this plugin in the first place. However, using TP world setups can also come in handy when you want to handle the teleportation of players accordingly.

Creating/editing a world setup

Configuration files (quickest)

All settings, regardless of which option you choose to edit setting with, are stored within these files. The default configuration contains in-depth explinations on the ins and outs of each aspect of the plugin.

For more experienced server owners, we highly recommend editing settings using this method. It conserves time and is easy to replicate.

GUI (easiest)

The graphical user interface (GUI) is available in game using the command /xwr menu. Hovering over the menu item will give you a brief description of the setting. Majority of the configuration could be done through the GUI.

To create a world setup, simply enter the GUI and click on the world you would like to create the setup for. If you would like to create a new world, XWR will do that for you if you have Multiverse installed.

Note: Files like config.yml and lang.yml cannot be edited in the GUI as of 2.0.0.

Commands (most accessible)

The create, edit, info, list, reset, and save commands are another option to edit the settings of a world. Most of these commands are explained in the commands & permissions wiki page.

Setting up a world using commands isn’t recommended, but can still be done. This feature is included in the case that you need a different plugin to run a XWR command or just love to run commands.

To create a setup, first use /xwr create <world> [<environment>], then use the /xwr edit <world> <operation> <setting> <value> to adjust each setting.
